I visited a few places last Monday (see previous post with juvenile Cooper's Hawk). At one of these, I was looking for RWBBs because of the pond in the area but I didn't see any at that time of day. I was fortunate to spot this Northern Flicker female up in the branches. It was a bit of a reach and I had to do some cropping to get a decent web image.

1. It was a windy day ......
