Default Adressing forum members on picture size

Hello fellow photographers, (snipers, bombers)

If you didn't already know, you can always press Ctrl and plus or minus simultaneously to adjust size of the pictures.

Small pictures may not benefit from this kind of upsizing; large pictures do benefit from downsizing if they are too large for your monitor

You might want to do the rest of the thinking yourself

Happy photographing, shooting, bombing or whatever you may call it

Your resizer on the web

Note that we prefer it if members keep photo sizes down to 800 pixels or less on their longest side, and try to keep the file sizes smaller, too.

Keep in mind that we've got a number of members with lower resolution monitors (especially those with laptops or netbooks), and if the posted photo is too large, they have to scroll left and right to see the text in replies (and they can't see the entire image without scrolling either). We've also got a number of members with dial up only access (so, keep file sizes in mind, too).

A tip for Firefox users (and I haven't checked other browsers to see if they can do the same thing):

If you do run into an image that too large to easily view here if you're using a lower resolution display, all you need to do is right click on an image in a forum post and select "View Image". Then, Firefox will automatically downsize it to fit the new browser window size it's being displayed in (allowing you to click on the image if you want to toggle the size between the original and the downsized image).
