Cool pic Simon! He didn't run away? I used to grab my bow when I saw them, but now I grab my camera.

haha ..... no he was quite calm some others i shot also let me get quite close before they did one just cant remember where i have stored them LOL

I think it is an Asiatic species, maybe a Sambar Deer.
