Default Elusive Red Tail

Elusive Red Tail

This character until now has just out smarted me. I have tried to get a keeper of him at least a dozen times and he always is gone when I get to the top of the ridge or look from the trees. One time he flew by me but he was directly in front of the sun. I was so happy to finally get him I forgot to say thank you.

2. Ooooops I better turn there is that camera guy AGAIN

Great shots...I find Owls almost 'pose' for me...but as soon as I stop my car to get me and my camera equipment out...or just get too close while walking...the Hawks and the Bald Eagles fly the coop...any tips of the trade for getting great pix of Hawks/Eagles...Roger...or is it right place, right time and of course....goes without saying.... your fine skill.

Roger - great shots. But I'm curious. The exif says focal length was 700mm. What lens/TC combo were you using?
