Default Mourning Doves

This Saturday there were not to many creatures for me to shoot, except for a pair of Mourning Doves. I have got to have a thousand pictures of this species - These are the best.

These Doves while not the most difficult to approach, are not that easy. But for whatever reason, they refused to fly away, and I managed to get quite close to them. They kept their eye on the dog, and I doubt of they even noticed me.

First one Dove....

And then the other

One of the reasons that they can be difficult is that they can see directly behind them.

And Floyd Bennet is full of Hawks, and Falcons. Always pays to keep a sharp watch on what's going on in the sky.

Nice dialog to go along with the pix Dave.
Pretty cool the way you captured the eyes.
