Default Dark-eyed Junco

These little Dark-eyed Juncos don't seem to mind the frigid weather. In fact, they seem to thrive on it.

Yeah, right sure...

140 proof Bacardi Rum is what they revel in, and then they come out, drunk as lords, and spit at the cold! Indeed, even as I write, I am totally tanked, ready to go out and photograph the night.

Bar hopping birds would indeed be interesting. But no stabilization necessary. They'll just sort of sit there, wondering which way is up...

We only see Juncos in the winter - they spend the summers at higher elevation. But none come to my feeder... Nice photos!!

Thanks, mole! Now that I think of it, I don't recall seeing them around much (if at all) in the warmer months.
