Excellent pix...sharp, clear, also like the natural backgroung, blue skies...perched on a dead tree limb.

I prefer # 2 and 3. You must of used a long telephoto, Roger...Eagles seem to spook when I come across them. The only one I had any success with I came up from behind, then had only about 30 seconds to click away before he tired of my presence and took off.

It was below zero F so YES on it was a little cooool out.

I used my 500 lens with a 1.4 teleconverter.

Terrific job in tricky lighting. No. 3 has a great pose, with both looking in the same direction - that one alone is worth the price of admission.

Everything kind of went together for this shoot. Nothing wrong with getting lucky.
