Equally great series...#1 and #3 are my favorites! #3 shows a nice contrast between the raging waters below and a calming GBH in flight above...great composition IMHO!

Very nice! I think the movement in the water emphasizes the stillness of the Heron in the first shot.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is a Great Blue Heron which is a magnificent bird. My house backs up to a conservation are and we have one of these that visits us from time to time. Very majestic.

Awesome shots! I love going to Great Falls on Sunday mornings before the crowds come out on the VA side. But I do prefer the MD side, it's prettier and a better place to walk around. I put a few shots up in this section of some Bluebirds nesting there on the VA side, if you're interested

I really like your shots!
