Default Heron Trout Fishing

Good fishing tonight. There was a least six Herons on this local lake tonight, and they all got their fill of rainbow trout. The Ospreys are back as well, but were not seen today.

cheers

That is a very beautiful shot, you captured a cool moment here! But the biggest problem I have is the lack of sharpness

Thanks maggo85. I agree it's not very sharp here in the forum. It looks alot better on my Mac, I think it lost something during posting.

Have you tried to re-sharpen to shot after re-sizing (apply some unsharp mask)? That's what I always do!

You're only at 72 ppi too. I have found that what works best for me is, when I open a RAW file in photo shop at 300ppi and do all my editing. last thing I do is re size to an 8x12 or 8x10 and lower the resolution to 200 PPI. and save my final edit as a tif /no compression. that gives me a file size of 11-12 mgb. then I upload it to my Zinfolio site.
From there I can post it to the forum with out any loss of detail. Zinfolio is a popular photo hosting site. you can get a free account but it fills up pretty fast, I pay $40 a year and get unlimited storage. works well for backing up all those files you want to prevent from disaster.
