It is a good lens, does a very nice job, and very sharp. Nicely captured.

Stop down to 7.1-13 and you cat shots will be much sharper at 300mm.

yeah i noticed that @300mm the shots are a bit soft. will try to stop down and see what i get. i was almost getting a bit disappointed

AT 300mm stop down to 7.1-14 you should get results like this.
