Those are great. I have been chasing our bluejays for weeks but they run as soon as i am in sight.

OK Bynx, I will start with a couple of feeders for now and get them used to being fed. I will have to put them away from the trees however as the cats can jump further than one might think. Maybe that'l do for this year over the winter. I will practice taking some shots of them at the feeder, and work my way into hand feeding as they get more comfortable with me being around. Thanks for the information, as I will use it to improve my ability to comunicate with nature. That has to be a good thing

Hi Bynxy,
That must have been amazing having that beautiful bird on your hand so close. Really great to see.

Its a great treat because Blue Jays are really smart and very skittish. To have them actually land on my hand and sit there picking over the peanuts deciding which is the right one for them is unheard of. Here is another shot from Friday when I returned.

Wow, Those are special for sure. If it weren't for the fact that blue Jays are one of the most annoying birds in the world those would be perfect shots.
Well, the shots are perfect and the bird has beautiful markings too. I guess I shouldn't be to harsh. I have been called annoying on occasion myself.
