I took this pic a few minutes ago from right where Im sitting, put it through Photoshop and posted it out to the world. Now thats amazing when you think of all the technology behind it all.

Hi Bynx,

You're right, technology is a wonderful thing and I'm very happy to be here to appreciate it.

I just got thru importing a half dozen vinyl albums into I-tunes using a program called Toast 10 Platinum.

Sometimes I just stop and marvel at what can be done and what we take for granted.

You're both so right...!

Makes me laugh when some complain about it taking too long to PP an
image when I used to have to wait a week to get prints back from the
lab when I shot 35mm film... And I never knew what they would be like
until I got them back...

Now I can check the shot in the camera screen, make adjustments, PP
images later if I want and none of it cost a cent after the initial investment...

Hi Bynxy, It is truly amazing. I,m knocked out by what can be done. How great this is now for all of us and particularly people who are unable to get out and would not that long ago be fairly isolated. Now we can have friends all over the world and interact and join in with great things.
I,m with you Wiz on the pp times. Well I am now. A few months ago I had a 700mhz laptop, after doing the math I worked out that it would have been quicker for me to drive to the shop and get my 36 exp film developed and printed. ( maybe my maths arn't that good)
It's great Guys.

Oooooo, that looks like a great set up, nice n close and the trees behind far enough away to make a natural oof backdrop. I bet thats great being so close with the 380 zoomer.
Humm thanks for showing that Matey, it's got me thinking. I have tried a few pics of the birdies here but usually there on a table or something un-natural. I,m off to look for a trunk.

It has a natural feel to it and Ive had a ton of bird shots. All sorts of birds, but for now its Blue Jays, Nuthatchs, Downy Headed Woodpeckers, Morning Doves and Chickadees. You can choose what kind of bird you get by the food you put out.

I'm with everyone here. Technology is amazing, especially if you grew up before we had put a man on the moon.

What gets me are these people who stew over the upload speed of their memory card, where the difference can be measured in nano-seconds, LOL. I would invite them to shoot a roll of 35mm, and wait a week for the prints. Remember we didn't ALWAYS have one-hour photo booths.

Digital is very cool, and pp is so satisfying. The sky is the limit on manipulating a digital image.

Mobile phones, Thumb drives, Digital cameras, HDD Camcorders, I'm in heaven!
