Default Northern Pintail in sweet light

took advantage of some rare Seattle sunshine this afternoon and stopped off at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland. this used to be one of my favorite haunts, but since i moved out of Kirkland, i don't get there very often anymore. it was cold, and there wasn't much in the way of critters, but just as i was about to leave, i spotted this lone pintail in the midst of a gaggle of mallards, coots and teals. he swam close along the shoreline, and gave me this nice photo op... 40D, 100-400 @ 190mm, 1/100 @ f/5.6 ...

Out where the rivers like to run, I stand alone, and take back something worth remembering...

Nice shot. One of my favorite ducks. They always seem like they are dressed for a formal dinner.

Act like a person of thought.
