Default Fieldfare - (What a wonderful name)

From Wikipedia

The English common name fieldfare dates back to at least the eleventh century. The Anglo-Saxon word feldefare perhaps meant traveller through the fields.[2] Alternatively, it may be derived from Old English fealu fearh, literally grey piglet.[3]
The species was described by Linnaeus in his Systema naturae (1758) under its current scientific name.[4] The name Turdus pilaris comes from two sparate Latin words for thrush.[5]

Saly,

Thank you very much for viewing and the comment.

Why don't you take your camera with you and come over here, to the all brand sections

Ordo,

Thank you for viewing and the comment. On the bokeh. I wanted as much of the small branches' "prisonwork" as possible to be in focus; yet I wanted a pleasing bokeh. Tricky to achieve both these goals

And the metering had to be matrix - using only central focus point. Spot would have given sharp bird and fuzzy branches, I think

So I used a comparatively small aperture opening. I was lucky to get it reasonably right. Thank you
