Default Waterfowl Reserve today

Hello, I went out the the local Waterfowl Reserve today to try for some eagle shots. There were not as many flying around today, but there was a Juvenile that I was able to get close to.

Northern Harrier male.

About to dive on the vole

You can see the catch in it's claws

Chowing down

Whole thing was gone in about 45 seconds, and it's ready to fly off and find more

Thanks for the comments. The Eagle was on a post on the side road that is gated off. I walked right up to the dang thing, I kept thinking it would fly off but it just looked at me. I didn't dare go any closer then about 10 yards though.....maybe I'll try shaking talons next time...lol

LOL, that great. The look on the Eagle in that second shot tells me you stopped just in time. What a fantastic opportunity. I'm glad you were able to take full advantage of it.
