Nice captures, John - both of them!

Do you think it really is 'choking' on the bones in photo #2? I'm very curious now!

What lens were you using? I can see that it was at a 400mm focal length from the Exif.

Hey Paul......
I am sure he wasn't choking on the bones...I put that in there to add a little humor....
He finished the lunch and then tossed the tail and head on the ground...It was fun to watch because after eating he spent 5 minutes rubbing his beak on the tree to clean the scales and left over lunch off....
I use the Canon 50D with the Canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L lens...And as you said, @ 400mm....Glad you liked it and thanks for the comment...
