Default Oblivious to it all

I was wandering around the yard photographing flowers when I almost walked up to this guy so busy eating sunflower seeds that he didn't notice me!

Great shot. Looks like a Red. These guys will not leave my feeders alone since they woke up from the winter slumber.

Actually, it is an Eastern Fox Squirrel - these were introduced into Southern California from the Eastern US, and are not native to the West Coast. The reddish tones underneath are what led my wife to name him Reddy.

Thanks. He monopolizes the sunflower seeds, which are pretty nourishing.

Looks like he's really hungry that's why he's not wary when you took his picture. Anyway, nice capture, and thanks for the info about the squirrel.
