Default A shot from the hip

While fishing I looked up after the shadow went over me. I dropped my fishing pole walked over to the truck grabbed my camera (it was in sleep mode with a 400mm lens) pointed it at this bird waited for focus and this is what I ended up with. It's a heavy crop.
Not sure what it is.

It is a female Northern Harrier (used to be called Marsh Hawk). Good catch.

Alright an ID. Thanks penolta, I knew it wasn't a red tail by it short neck. I was thinking maybe it was a falcon but it was too big. The wing span was between 4 to 6 feet.
