Default Awwww... (warning! graphic cuteness!)

spotted this little fox kit on the way back down from Paradise on Mt. Rainier this evening. once again, i'd left my 400mm at home, thinking i'd not need it for landscapes, so these were shot with the 5D and 24-135 @ 135mm, f/8 @ various shutter speeds, ISO 800... these are cropped slightly, but only for composition, as i was able to get within 20 feet of the little guy, and he seemed totally unconcerned...

Very cute. You must have been fairly close to capture these with a medium range zoom! The backlighting really works well on these!

Wow, wow, stop!!!! I can't stand the excessive cuteness!!!! What a wonderful capture, was his family close by? He already has a very wise look to him. Beautiful.

Great shots, Rocky! His mom probably put him there and told him to wait for her. You did good getting that close, Tell me, what would you do without that 24-135??? That is a nice lens.

thanks, folks!

Hawgwild, that lens is my bread and butter, lemme tell ya! almost all my "money shots" were taken with it, and it's incredibly versatile. lately i've had to press it into purposes it wasn't really made for, and it's still performed well... i still have the one that failed on me a while back... i need to send it in and get it fixed. it's just too useful a lens to not have a spare!
