Default Butterflys from yesterday

"Butterflies" I guess I can't edit the subject line..

Saw a good variety at the park yesterday. There were more, but they wouldn't sit still...

#1 Monarch

#2 Western Tiger Swallowtail

#3 Marine-Blue (tiny little thing!)

#4 Gulf Fritillary

Yes, this is a great group of butterflies. The Monarch is a beauty but my favorite is the swallowtail, I have a small plot of penta and a visiting Giant that is about 4-5 inch wingspan.

My next outing in a few days will be to a butterfly garden at one of our local parks, hopefully it will be as rewarding as yours here.

Thanks guys - yes the swallowtails are stunning, as are monarchs. But these tiny blues surprised me with their delicate detail too. They are tiny (almost stepped on this guy) - the wings are less than 1/2" and I didn't see the pretty markings until I viewed the images on my computer at home.
