Default Brown Cuckoo-dove

The week before last we went visiting for a few days up in the north-east of NSW near the Queensland border. This is a bird I have never seen before. It's a brown cuckoo-dove. It proved to be rather challenging as far as focus and EV were concerned. There is an olive-green sheen to the feathers, particularly on the back of its neck, that reflects (or deflects?) the light — whatever it is it caused me some problems. these are the best of the many I took.

Have no idea what the berries are — but these cuckoo-doves gorged themselves with them!

Cheers .
