A Clark's Greebe. There were several with young tagging along, begging for food. They were just too far out to get a good shot.

My favorite shot of the day. We spotted this long low profile mammal swimming in the water. What was it? Too long for a Muskrat, too much on the surface for an Otter, way too thin and long for a Beaver. It wasn't until we put binoculars on it could we really tell what it was. See for yourself.

all really nice shots, would love to have that kind of wildlife close by.

My only criticizm is that the photos are not tack sharp. not sure if its the dim evening light, combined with a small apature value, or if its just not a sharp lens.

I only criticise as i strive for, but rarely get tack sharpness in my shots also and its one thing i will always work on.
