Default Early Fall Wildlife

Made another journey to the refuge today to see what I could see. Not much happening yet. The ducks and geese are still just arriving but fortunately there is always something to shoot. Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome.
Steve

P.S. Even though it's a 40 mile trip from my house I will be going out again tomorrow and pretty much every weekend it's not raining through March. I find it very therapeutic. Cheers everyone.

The sun was partially hidden providing some subdued light that actually brought out the colors of this cock pheasant rather nicely. And he cooperated by not running away before I could get several shots off. Thanks buddy.

I was just barely able to get a shot of this Lesser Snowy Egret hunting along the bank of the pond. It made for a colorful shot though.

Really like the first shot. Looks like a nice place to visit, and I see why you make the long drive!

Great action shot in #3 and also impressed with the pheasant's beautiful colours.
