Default Cold Eagle

-10 degrees Fahrenheit where I took the shot. There was a moose carcass underneath where this one was sitting. Notice the ice crystal next to the eye? I would have liked to get a shot where there weren't all the limbs in the way, but that was impossible.

Awesome! Makes me cold just looking at him.
I know what you mean about the little branches but, they really don't take away from the shot.
Great shot, but I think I will stay put in front of the fire, thank you.

What equipment were you using and how far were you from the eagle?

Cheers, Steve

Steve, thanks much!

Equipment used was a 7D and 500mm f/4 L. About 25 yards away.

Great shot Jim. I guess this is why he was born with a down jacket!

Saly, thanks. When it gets cold all the birds fluff their feathers out for more protection.
