Default Bald Eagle Portraits

A few weeks back I took these photos of a slightly leucistic ( a form of Albinism) Adult Bald Eagle. The sky was overcast and not the best but I was happy with these shots.

Thanks for looking,
Steve

You can see the spotty white feathers amongst the normal brown.

Steve

Great shots, mate.

I particularly like the 'close up expression' of the 1st two photos (very different, side on - and looking backwards vs straight at you).

Then the 3rd photo to give the context / wider composition.

The detail captured of the feathers is good. The 'dull' lighting might not be ideal in some ways, but in other ways, at least nothing is blown out.

Thanks for sharing. (Hey, the eagle has more hair than I do... why is it called a BALD eagle??? he he he!)

Thank you everyone for your nice comments. I have to agree, that stare is intense for sure. I was glad I was a good 40 meters away.

Cheers, Steve

Yeh, they do have an intimidating stare don't they.
Good capture in tough lighting.
