Default A day in the Field...

Its nice to be out in nature. It was one of those days that I thought I had more "good stuff" than I actually ended the day with, but I enjoyed myself, none the less.

A tree swallow in the morning light.

A robin that had to hop one time too many and wound up in the shade.

A Song Sparrow that never gave me a clean shot

A Northern Shoveler

Blue Winged Teal

Lots of these

Sandhill cranes. Light was getting pretty harsh.

They stuck around for a bit so I shot a couple more.

I'll be leaving a lion's share of today's shots on the cutting room floor. Everybody seemed to stay a little too far away, blinked at the wrong time, positioned themselves wrong for the light, and I was not doing well with my composition. There will be better days, but I still had fun.
