Default double-crested cormorant

this one is really showing off... crests are very visible, which is a common mating-season display...

The pictures of Double-crested cormorant are really awesome. It is a little more than two feet long with a wingspan of about four feet. I like his dark brown to black feathers.

thanks, Natalie. we have a ton of them here... it's fun to watch them come up with a nice fat catfish or carp and then try to get airborne! i've actually seen them catch a fish so big they can't fly with it, but they won't give it up! have you seen them perched on a piling with their wings spread out, drying their feathers?
