Default Gone to the Birds.....eerrrrr....Pelicans

Here is a photo I took this weekend with my Sony F717. Comments welcomed.

That's a winner! The composition, lighting, DOF, is perfect in my opinion. The only negative thing in tne whole picture is the yellow ribbon on the piling and you didn't have any control over that. Show us more!

Maybe a bit of photoshop clone tool to remove the spike that looks like it is comming out of the one birds?

In general, I like it. It does appear a bit oversharpened to me, but that could also be the stark contrast of the birds against the almost white sky.

ohenry, as a matter of fact, I ran the image through neat image to soften it up. I did no sharpening what so ever, but it did appear sharp even straight from the cam with no in camera sharpening. I did cropped, resized and adjusted color saturation.

awww i love it!!!
My father will be extremly pleased to see this one is taken with a 717

My first reaction was:
damn that doesn't look real! Just like the birds are drawn...


but after a few seconds i was conviced this is a really really good picture!!!
