Default Roosting Red-Tail

After reading some of Steves recent posts, we've been taking the camera along in the car - this red-tail was perched about 70yards off the road in a local park here.

With Steves suggestion, she used an old bean bag on the car window edge. A great way to get good shots. If only those branches weren't in the way!

Nice bird. Bean bags are great. We've been using them for several years now. Where we go in Wisconsin, Crex Meadows, there's lots of roads through the wetlands. We do most of our shooting using the car as a blind and bean bags for support.

Yeah, branches are the bane of a bird photographers existence. I have not solved that one yet either.
