Default Geese

Although Geese are not one of my normal subjects, I came across these extremely noisy geese in the middle of a mating ritual. I was unable to get any good shots of that due to trees, limbs, and bushes being in the way. By the time I had a clear shot they had finished. Here are a few shot "after the fact"

Geese can be noisy, nice takeoff shot.

I enjoy geese. They can be so placid, just sitting on the water, then burst into furious activity if other geese come too close. Strike some interseting poses when communicating to their mate, too. Nice shots Mugmar. Keep a watch on geese for awhile and you may find them more interesting.

Yes, I once got too close to a pair with young goslings and they chased me all over the park!

That is a really good series; definitely different poses from normal shots of geese just swimming slowly around a lake.

Thank you everyone. It was a great experience to see them doing something completely different. I really do enjoy watching geese, There are just so many of them around here, I just kind of look over them most times. I'm sure I've missed many shots by doing this
