Default still winter, and this Carolina Wren looks like it's had enough

Carolina Wren, I'm sure missing the Carolina weather on a day like today when we got 9"+ of fresh snow. These little guys are year rounders but have only recently appeared in the area as they push further north. Last year was easy on them to get established, this year, not so much.

Shot using the 70-300mm with some +EV for the white background, was lucky to have the window open but tough getting focus with the snow falling even so.

A picture is better than a thousand words. The little bird looked very sad like there was a sense of hopelessness.
