Default Greater Yellowlegs

took a walk to check out the Union Slough habitat area just north of Everett this afternoon, and added a Greater Yellowlegs to my collection...

How do you tell a Greater Yellow legs from a Lesser Yellow Leg? By size, color or beak?

beak and markings, mostly. the greater usually has a slight upturn to its bill, and darker, more contrasty markings.
