Default Raising familys at Crex Meadows.

Was able to get some family pictures at Crex Meadows in Wisconsin. Here's a Pie-billed Grebe with three of her six chicks. They were
all over the place. Never did get a shot with all of them close to
Mom. They get independent so soon!

Got this picture of a Trumpeter Swan family on my first shot of the day.
Hadn't been out for a month. Guess I still retained some skills.

Pentax K-x, Sigma 150-500 mm

Nice pictures! I have never seen a Pied-billed Grebe chick. This is great! I notice that you have a Bigma like mine. How do you like it?

Thanks for the comment WCK. Had lens about a year and half. Having lots of fun with it. Last few months health problems haven't allowed me to get out much, but when I do, the Sigma performs for me.

Nice shots. Interesting colors on the Grebe chicks especially since the adults are so plain.
