Now I understand why they are called Skimmers after seeing these pictures because of the longer lower bill which is made for skimming fish off the water. The wonders of evolution!

They tend to skim a lot rarely catching anything, but when they do:

Love the capture of the "water track" in pic three. Nice shots and glad to see the bird found a fish too.
