Walking Monday on a lake close to my home and learning how to shoot from a new POV with Mallards and Swans.

5. Can somebody tell me what kind of duck is this one?

6. Love the color on this one:

7. And a very rare sight in Long Island an Eagle, this is like finding Big Foot walking on Central Park.

Have a great day everyone.

Marcelo,
Mallards are beautiful ducks. People ignore them because there are so many of them. They are very colorful and I still take their pictures from time to time. Their closeups look fantastic. The duck in question is a Northern Shoveler Hen. we have a lot of them in California now. I see them up further North in Sacramento and Colusa and here in the SF Bay Area.

Super series. I agree with Michael, the Mallards are very colorful, but often overlook (I guilty of it myself). Nice find with the Juvi Bald Eagle.
