Default Clearing the Deck

First thing this morning upon arriving at the wildlife viewing deck an eagle frightened up about 3000 ducks. This is a tight shot right in front of me and you can see the droplets of water coming from the flapping ducks that were above the field of view. It looks like rain, which we desperately need.

This was all that was left after the eagle passed by. Two sleeping Canada geese. I guess size has it's advantage.
Of course all the ducks where in the air and eventually circled back and landed again. But, for a minute it was pretty empty.

This is what it looked like when all the birds went up. I love the cacophony of noise all those birds make.

Quite a sight,
I really like the shot of the two geese.

I had been to the Refuge twice this year. I know how loud it can get when all the waterfowls take off at the same . It is quite a sight! There is nothing like it down here in the Bay Area.
