Default Quite a show!

Bob, the Cooper's hawk, came in after a cardinal today. He missed. But, while waiting for lunch, he gave me quite a show.

The business end

Cooper's Hawk stink-eye!

ALAN! ALAN!

Steve?

I'm outta here...

Thanks, Rocky. You're right, he was about 9-10 feet away. He sat there for at least 10 minutes before a stupid dove landed about 12 feet away from him on my front porch!! He, naturally, thought, "LUNCH!" and the chase was on. The dove realized the error of his ways and took flight with Bob in hot pursuit.

Thanks very much! I walked out on my front porch this morning for the first time since he took off after that dove. There are dove feathers ALL OVER the place! He didn't miss by much and I'm pretty sure Bob had a successful hunt.
