Default lady kingfisher

got some shots of this female kingfisher at a nearby marina on Saturday... she was perched on top of a boat mast, where she remained for a good 5 minutes or more while i and a friend snapped photos. with such tiny feet, it's amazing she could keep a grip on that metal perch, but i guess they have their ways. i'd have preferred a more natural roost, but hey - with kingfishers, ya takes what ya can get! 7D2, 600mm, 1/2000 @ f/8

Out where the rivers like to run, I stand alone, and take back something worth remembering...

I have seen Kingfisher pictures taken by other people and wonder how they did it. Personally, I have never gotten near one to take a good picture. Most of the time, they are beyond the reach of my lens. Rocky, this are great shots!
