Default sage thrasher

these little guys only nest in dry sagebrush desert. i was fortunate to see this one; they normally stay on the ground, and are quite elusive...

thanks! they've been called "mountain mockingbirds", though they don't live in the mountains, because of their ability to mimic...

thanks, Pitter! i haven't heard them call, but i've read that they have a very melodious song that can last for up to a minute...
