Default shorties from today

went back up to a nearby salt marsh this afternoon to look for short-eared owls. they were there, quite a few of them, but they kept their distance, and only once or twice came closer than about 75 yards. i only managed a few decent shots, and none of them perching... here are the best from today...

Well, if they wouldn't perch for you, at least you got some really decent flight shots. Well done.

thanks, WCKSer! the light this time of year gets really nice... i suppose that's the trade-off for the short days and cold.
