Default a bit of a tussle

these two short-eared owls apparently had a disagreement over who got to hunt in which field, and engaged in a bit of aerial jousting to settle their differences. they did a few feints and parries, and one flew off across the field to go look for supper elsewhere... these didn't come out quite as sharp as i'd have liked, but i'm happy i was able to catch the action!

you got that right! i've seen 'em do this in the past, but usually too far away for a photo... this time, it happened close enough that i was able to get some shots!
