Default The Pecking Order - getting the claws out

G'day

At crack of dawn today I was taken to a paddock where the kangaroos were plentiful - and several male pairs were having boxing matches.

These 2 roos were at it for over 30 minutes, with multiple rest breaks in between some serious stratch 'n kick stuff. I have captioned the images somewhat whimsically to try to mirror the activity being shown ~ though seriously, you will see why an angry male kangaroo can do a lot of damage to a person trapped by them

These 2 roos were amongst around 100 animals in the paddock of maybe 500 metres x 300m and were fighting over a harem of about 2-dozen females ~ with a number of harems across the area

Typical exif - Panny FZ-200; 1/1300s x F5; 24x zoom / 600mm film camera equiv; ISO-800

1- 'ere you - clear orf my patch, these sheilas are happy with me

2- c'mon you - clear orf ...

3- if ya don't clear orf i'll thump ya mate ...

4- Geez - i'll show ya wot itz like to lose ya crown jewels

As always, comments welcome
Phil

That's something you don't see every day on north side of the world. Great series.
