The first ofa couple of Pied Wagtail photos from Musselburgh. This one was actively feeding (as only wagtails can). Comments welcome.

That bird looks like it's smiling for the camera. Beautiful bird, too bad you didn't get it centered better, but that's not always easy (as I have been finding out myself) when you're taking a picture of any kind of wildlife.

Although I would have preferred the composition with the bird looking into the picture rather than out, it is very well exposed and focused. Sharp focus on the eye. Good detail in the feathers.

Cheers, folks. The autofocus is a blessing as these birds move at warp speed. I agree about the composition and I'll beback there to try again.
