I'm like Vito, I've never seen one of these, but they sure are a pretty bird. Just look at all the different colors on them! I think I like the 4th one the best, but they are all nice shots!

Very nice shots, Norm! Like vito, I like shots #1 and #4 the best.

Vito: Waxwings are pretty birds. They are funny too - in wintertime you can often find flocks of them on Mountain Ash trees because the trees' fruit (which stays on all winter) has fermented and they love them. Eventually some of them get a bit punchy from eating fermented berries and I have even seen them falling out of the Mountain Ash trees!

Well, I think the birds have been getting drunk for longer than we humans have. I'm sure that they, like us, get hangovers too :?

Well done, Norm. I think 1 & 2 are cropped a bit too closely, but the other two are done well. Your backgrounds are a bit hot in the first two, as well. Thought: Have you considered using fill flash on the birds to bring out their detail? I keep telling myself I'm going to get a Better Beamer. I "think" Eric has one. Perhaps he, or someone else that has one, will shed some light (I know...awful pun) on their value. Again, great captures of a nice bird! BTW, which lens did you use here?
