Just for the fun of comparison, here is a different kind of quail than the one zoomn posted. This Gambel's Quail was both calling and feeding from a tray feeder mounted on a 5' high post outside our dining room window. In some years, we will have as many as 250 quail visit our feeder areas around the house, both morning and evening. I think our quail numbers are reduced because of the severe drought over the past three years. Last April we had record rains which should improve food availability for quail and other birds so hopefully they will do better this year. Some of the tiny chicks are running around now.

This was one of the first photos I took with my FZ10 about two months ago.

definetely a great pose....seems a little noisy....but nice

can i see the EXIF?

Nice shot hummer!

Really nice color in your shot.

Really like the looking back pose, seems to make them look very alert.
