I like it too.

What flower is that? It looks quite large (unless that is multiple that by the nature of the picture look like one.)

Thanks for taking a look and for your comments.

The part of the flower you see is one bud. The grow in a series of 6 or 8 vertical rows of buds. That is a very small bee. I know even less about flowers than I do about birds and that is not much.

8 or 10 inches total on the bloom.

Larger buds on bottom smaller on top. The bees lift the top of the bud and crawl inside (the fold right in front of the bee) then disappear for a few seconds. Then they crawl back out and off they go.

Gotcha. Its the crawlling in and out that puts the pollen on them that helps cross pollenate the other flowers. Makes sense.

zoomn, the bee was doing what it had to do, you of course were the one who ensured that it was the right spot. Again, nice job.
