taken free hand, I just got a new tripod today but did not have time to get it out for these shots















Im starting to get a handle on this new camera:-)

Nice shots, I was looking at the others you just posted too. The shots through the shop window came out good, Ididn't think they'd be that clear through glass. :-)

I was averse to using a tripod before I actually started using a decent one (and a decent one is necessary to reduce vibration). Now I do my best to use a tripod with as many photos as possible primarily because they do help, especially when it's necessary to reduce shutter speed. I also try to use a remote shutter when possible (times when I don't need to follow the bird about whilephotographing). I wish you good fortune with your new purchase! PS - a remote shutter is very inexpensive and you might consider trying one out just for fun.

However, these are pretty darned good photographs without a tripod. I look forward to seeing some of your tripod photos in the future.
