While in Queensland this week part of my sons prize for a "big brother" competition was the chance to spend a day at Dreamworld. We split up (he went on all the thrill rides) and i took these shots with my G3 as I did not want to cart the SLR all over the place and on airlines. Im happy with the shots that were actually taken on digital zoom which I never like to do. I love these animals.

Cute photos, Julie, especially the last action shot! Did you use USM on these pictures in post-processing? It looks like they've been oversharpened - something I've been prone to on occasion.

I like the Canon Powershot G series of cameras. I miss the G2 that I passed down to my son.

Hey, did you get permission to post something that wasn't a bird??? Just kidding, I've been thinking of going to a local zoo just to shoot something different for a chance.

Nicely done, I like cats in all shapes and sizes (especially big ones!) I agree with geoffs that something does look a little odd, maybe from over sharpening. Or maybe from too much jpg compression? It didn't distract me too much, but I did see it.

Wow, that lion jumping is excellent indeed! Great capture alady. I've got a G5 and understand the limits you faced here with action. All I can say is, super job!
