Nice work, those flying shots are tough to get in focus. The second one looks great!

Thanks zoomn.

I went out in the morning to shoot birds in flight, thinking I will have IS off and use the burst mode of my camera. When this cormorant showed up on top of my head, my mind just went blank as to what settings to use and I just started clicking. I was able to get 2 of these shots out of total 5-6, not bad.

I agree, the second shot is very nice. This is different to the cormorants we see here in south west of Australia.

Good shots, bobbyz! It is very, very tough to get inflight birds in focus. I just went out and tried to get swallows in flight and I think they got the better of me during the entire session. It's a bit easier with larger and slower birds, but not much.
