I think this Heron was trying to tell me something. Everytime I tried to take a picture of this Heron, this was about as close as it would let me get. If I got any closer, it would either fly away, or walk away from me.



But, as you can see, it didin't mind if other people got close (even a dog!)



I guess it's just me. :roll:

Shot #1 would be great if recroped pretty tight. I really like the reflection in the water and it is nice that his head is not in the road (like shot #2). Which camera? Do you have the pixles to really bring that in tight?

Thanks Darrel. I used a Minolta Dimage 7 for that picture. I actually have several pictures of Herons closer up. It's just that this was the best I could do when I started visiting this pond. I don't know if it's just that I'm better at getting close, or if I'm seen as less of a threat now. Or if I was just using the wrong soap at the time! :-)
